so sad - until i get used to this - i miss my hair...

I sat in the chair and declared I wanted something different, looked at my hair thinking it was just right, but then again I should take a chance and try something new. Ok cut it quick before i lose my nerve. I couldn't see all the length falling off the back but when she worked around the side, and cut those last bits. I wanted to jump up and run. It was all I could do to put a little week half smile on but i was CRYING inside CRYING!

Oh another rash decision!

I'm on a role! Stay posted for NYC or no NYC (since there is to be no UK). The work permit would take a specialist with a miraculous touch to make it happen, but I'm only partially let down as I concluded things with the boy over there. So beyond the Jane Austen festival and a season of design abroad, not too much will be missed, and I don't have to live in Sue's sewing room or other such places as Blake has found a way cooler place to call home than here. So horray - I can stay, and wait for my hair to grow back.

ya, you look unimpressed. it's not a bad length though. just have it layered and cut with a razor and it'll look sweet and choppy. then again, i doubt you'll want to cut it again now...

i hate PAYING for a haircut that i don't like. which brings me to story time!

i went to a hair salon once. sat in the chair and explained to the hairdresser (she was asian) my desired haircut. (and yes! i am particular about my hair!). the hairdresser kept nodding as i described my more than emo hairstyle.

she started cutting my hair and then she busted out the electric razor! my face must have looked shocked or something because she turned off the razor and said, "you mean mushroom cut, right?"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

i guess the fact that we didn't speak eachother's language had an affect on my hair. because it looked ridiculous. i went home, grabbed a pair of shears and tired redeem my haircut. (there wasn't much left to redeem after the attempt at a mushroom cut).

true story.

and I will get to like it, I still heard a beautiful comment on my way to work and a "how u doin' on the way home so it can't be that bad.

yes it shall grow, but i just have to mourn it first, i was looking through photos on my camera - and saw the once long hair :(

change is good > there is only forward now >>>>>>>>>>>>

Lisa,

I had a similar experience to Dylan's, due to a language barrier.

Second-worst haircut of my life. But not a mushroom. The last mushy I had was of my own accord.

You know, I don't think your hair looks that bad there. Sometimes, it's just the shock that gets us. You could always go shorter and more hipster-er.

Peace,

T

LL, I love the hair! It's very modern looking. It makes me think of Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, Prada, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein, amongst many other wicked cool labels' looks.

It's very good. Not bad at all! Approved by Meano.
